NIOA increases workforce
Ben Chapman joins NIOA as the Import/Export Compliance Manager responsible for all ITAR and permit related activities for the business’ growing requirements. Ben’s knowledge and reputation in the Defence Industry as an ITAR specialist will complement the existing compliance team as they prepare for the expansion of NIOAs future requirements.
Ben has 23 years’ experience in the Australian Army and has spent the past five years in the Defence Industry whilst achieving post graduate education from RMIT. Ben’s history of being involved with both Special Operations units and the Regular Army, including multiple deployments, gives him the unique experience to understand the ever-changing requirements of Defence and NIOAs goal to ensure excellence in support of future projects.
A Senior Bids and Proposals Manager with over a decade of experience in developing custom proposals. As an Ex-Naval Warfare Officer, Jason has significant experience in maritime weapons and munitions. These areas of expertise will be used to develop quality and fit for purpose solutions and proposals for NIOA’s Government and Defence clients.
Peter served 22 Years in the Royal Australian Air Force as an Armament Technician/Engineer, spent mostly in operational squadrons (F-111 and F/A-18) and the past 8 years working in the Defence Industry. Peter brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to NIOAs already extensive Engineering division.
Antoni joins NIOA as an experienced Program Manager with a demonstrated history of successful program approvals and delivery in the Defence sector. Skilled in Government relations, Defence capability development, acquisition and systems engineering Antoni is a strong management professional with a Master of Business and Master of Management from the University of New South Wales. Antoni takes a systems and integration philosophy to Defence capabilities and has extensive experience in the Land domain for indirect fire, air defence and explosive ordnance systems.
